NON-PROFIT FUNDRAISER: SOCIAL MEDIA AND EMAIL CAMPAIGN
During my time at LPA, a board member approached me, venting that the scholarship funds that are awarded annually to people with dwarfism pursuing higher education would soon be depleted.
I really only operate in solutions—so I suggested we host a fundraiser. From previous data and successful campaigns, I came up with a plan: don't just ask for money—paint the story of what these funds do when LPA members receive them.
I then reached out to approximately 10 prior scholarship recipients, asking if they'd be willing to share their story: How did an LPA scholarship help you when you were in school? And what did it mean to you to receive it? The result: People were eager to share how the scholarship supported them not just financially, but by knowing that a whole community was behind them, supporting them, and needing them to show up in spaces and places where people with disabilities have been traditionally unwelcome.
With these stories, I developed a comprehensive outreach strategy across email and social media, highlighting the real impact of donor contributions. I managed the week-long campaign end-to-end—from story development to content creation to execution and performance tracking.
The result? We raised over $22K—exceeding the original goal by 340%.
Below is a sampling of some of the work I created for this campaign.

About this content: I created a reel that showcases an annual fashion show for people with dwarfism. This post is meant to advertise an annual conference for members with dwarfism, during which this event is held.
POST CAPTION:
From our showstopping Red Carpet to the energy of Runway Around the World and the sparkle of Ready to Wear, this year’s fashion show had it all!
Thank you to @[member] and @[member] for your vision and dedication, to every volunteer who made the magic happen behind the scenes, to our Conference Management Committee for making this conference a success, and to our incredible audience who cheered, clapped, and celebrated every model.
Here’s to fashion that uplifts and unites our community. 💚
Alt Text: A video reel of the 2025 National Conference LPA Fashion Show, showing a sequence of images of people with dwarfism walking the runway. The video highlights people of different ages, styles, and types of dwarfism as they walk, pose, and smile in a variety of outfits. The setting is a community fashion show at the LPA National Conference. The song “Feels Like Summer” by Samuel Jack plays in the background.
About this content: I was asked to make a post showcasing all of LPA's offerings. I ideated the following design.

Alt Text/Image Description:
Graphic featuring the Little People of America (LPA) logo in the center. Surrounding the logo are text labels for several groups and programs, including: “Rainbow (LGBTQ+) Committee,” “Medical Advisory Board (MAB),” “OWLS (Older, Wiser Little Seniors),” “Advocacy and Inclusion,” and “Dwarf Artists Coalition (DAC).” The phrase “and more” appears near the bottom. The background is light gray with a subtle textured pattern.
About this content: I created this brochure as a means to support people and families who’ve just received a dwarfism diagnosis. This brochure is now available in every U.S. hospital that has a skeletal dysplasia clinic. I wrote all the text, interviewed community members for the quotes you'll see throughout, and shaped the content to balance medical information with emotional support and a sense of community connection.
The design uses a traditional tri-fold layout meant for print distribution. But since tri-fold brochures can be hard to read digitally, I created a linear version for easy digital viewing.
